Dissing people in songs comes as naturally to Jay-Z as rapping itself. Here are some of our favorite disses from his new album, "Magna Carta Holy Grail," and why they hit so hard.
1. Scott Boras
"Scott Boras, you over baby/Robinson Cano, you coming with me"
Jay-Z gets to live out a Yankee fan's dream by bragging about Robinson Cano, while simultaneously crapping on the man responsible for Alex Rodriguez's godawful contract.
2. The NFL
"NFL investigations/Oh, don't make me laugh"
With Roc Sports Nation currently under investigation by the National Football League, you can add Jay-Z to the list of guys who don't care much for Roger Goodell.
3. Miley Cyrus
"Miley Cyrus is still twerkin/Only in America!'
When you're married to Beyoncé, the idea of Miley Cyrus twerking is a joke -- but for the rest of us, an attractive 20-year-old shaking her butt is no laughing matter.
4. The Internal Revenue Service
"F*** your IRIS and the IRS"
The difference between you and Jay-Z (well, one of many) is that you stick it to the IRS by not declaring the income you made from mowing lawns, whereas Jay-Z does it by telling off the agency on an album that sells millions.
5. Foxy Brown
"I never stuck my c*** in the fox's box"
If it weren't for the term "box," this loyal display might actually be considered romantic.
6. Social Media
"F*** hashtags and retweets"
Finally, something Jay-Z and your dad can agree on!
